Suspected political thugs have razed the residence of the All Progressives Congress National Assembly candidate for Ikwerre/Emuoha Federal Constituency, Ezemonye Ezekiel-Amadi, in Omerelu, Rivers State.
“They had into the place to have access so that they could put out the fire. Most of the places are close to the window because what the boy who was apprehended did was that he broke the glass and then lit the curtains.”
Nwauju said the incident has justified the party’s call for the police to increase surveillance on APC leaders and candidates in the state, describing the attack as one too many. “It is clear that security agents are not able to cover the state and are not able to mop up all criminal elements and hired thugs acting as predators on APC members.
Continuing, Nwauju said, “The APC will be watching to ensure that justice is not only done but is seen to be done to serve as a deterrent to other arsonists.
