One such is the Director General of the Unity Congress and lawyer, Essien Ita.Ita noted that the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s Declaration on Parliamentary Openness requests that transparency be a crucial element in building trust between the public and democratic institutions like the National Assembly.
