As the holiday season approaches, the federal government through the National Agency for the Control of AIDS has called on Nigerians to prioritize their health by knowing their HIV status and practising safe behaviours during the festive period.
“Christmas is a time for joy and celebration, but it is also an opportunity to secure your health and protect others,” Dr. Ilori stated. “HIV remains a significant public health concern, but advancements in testing and treatment mean it is no longer a death sentence,” she added.
