Haze: No areas with hazardous, very unhealthy air quality as of 8am thesundaily hazemalaysia
Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah appeared to have escaped the haze during a survey around Shah Alam yesterday. - Bernama: The overall air quality in the country has improved with the majority of the stations recording a drop in their Air Pollutant Index readings, leaving none in the hazardous and very unhealthy categories.
As of 8am, 18 areas recorded unhealthy API readings, including Sri Aman , Kuching , Samarahan , Sarikei , Sibu , Mukah , Bintulu , and Samalaju in Sarawak.According to Malaysia Air Pollutant Index Management System , three areas in Selangor with unhealthy air quality were Shah Alam , Johan Setia , and Banting ; as well as Nilai and Seremban in Negri Sembilan.
Other areas with unhealthy air quality were Batu Muda and Cheras in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Putrajaya . An API between zero and 50 indicates good air quality; 51 and 100, moderate; 101 and 200, unhealthy; 201 and 300, very unhealthy and 301 and above, hazardous. - Bernama
