Former Managing Director of Polaris Bank, Innocent Ike, and the Iyalode of Lagos, Mrs Bintu Fatima Tinubu, have tasked the organisers of Golfsixses tournament to work diligently to lift the standard of the competition, which caters for elders and retirees.
Speaking at the end of the 2023 Golfsixses tournament at the Ikeja Golf Club, Lagos, they also urged the organisers to ensure that the event takes into consideration the peculiar needs of the participants.
“My advice for the organisers is that they must not be carried away with the success they have achieved so far; but they should try and build on it to sustain the goals for which it was established.” But the caveat is that the organisers must not be carried away with the success of the moment and go to sleep, thinking that they have achieved their goals… they should continue to improve on what they have achieved.”
