The State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board’s Secretary, Ishola Rahman who made dropped the hint stated this in his office recently, the medical process was part of the conditions to acertain the fitness of the pilgrims and fit to perform the Hajj exercise.

He reiterated the commitment of the Board to fulfil all righteousness as required by the Saudi Arabian Authority.Ishola advised intending pilgrims not to conceal their health status, adding that doing so would jeopardise the effective management of their health and might result inability to perform the hajj rites as ordained by Allah.

He advised all intending pilgrims that the earlier their illnesses is identified the better for them as there will be opportunity for early commencement of necessary treatments.He added that the state is known for quality management of pilgrims and this year must not fall short of such trust. Intending pilgrims are advised to visit the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital’s Laboratory Ikeja for the first phase of the medical test after collecting their application and Pre- Hajj screening forms from the State Board, while those who have done so should submit their forms at the Board office for further processing.
