Gunmen have allegedly killed two members of the All Progressives Congress , at a party meeting in Izzi LGA, EbonyiTwo injured persons were said to be receiving treatment at Alex Ekwueme federal university teaching hospital, Abakaliki, the state’s capital.
“The gunmen, who were said to be two in number reportedly operated on a motorcycle,” a source who didn’t want his name mentioned said.“They were said to have quickly zoomed off as soon as they completed their assignment. Two persons were confirmed dead while two others were said to be receiving treatment.Stanley Emegha, the APC state chairman, confirmed the development to TheCable on Saturday, adding that the incident was masterminded by the opposition party.
We are sure that the opposition is responsible for the attack, especially the Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance . All we are calling for is for peace to reign in Ebonyi state. Killing the people of Ebonyi because of politics isn’t the right thing to do.”
