Gunmen kill 6, injure 8 in Kaduna community
Report has it that the gunmen stormed the village at about 1.30am in the early hours of Saturday in their efforts to kidnap one Alhaji Na Sidi, a seasoned farmer in the village, according to a source who pleaded for anonymity.
The source said he suspected the gunmen to be Fulani guardsmen, who in an attempt to escape opened fire leading to the killing of six persons on the spot and leaving eight persons with gun shots.The source further explained that the five persons have been buried according to Islamic rites in the presence of Giwa local government Chairman, Engr Abubakar Shehu Lawal Giwa and the council secretary, Usman Ismail.
