, ASP Mahid Mua’zu, who confirmed the incident in a statement, said the perpetrators stormed Mrs. Abdullahi’s residence at Jekadafari Quarters in Gombe at approximately 21:45hrs and gruesomely slaughtered her before fleeing with her handset.

“The Gombe State Police Command has expressed shock and dismay at the heinous crime and has pledged to do everything in its power to bring the perpetrators to justice. The Command has launched a full-scale investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible for the brutal murder,” he said.

Mua’zu also encourages members of the public to cooperate fully with the police as they carry out their investigation saying without the support we may not get to the roots of these problems because some of these criminals are from within the community being terrorized. He vowed that Gombe State, under his watch, will continue to maintain a steadfast commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all its citizens.
