Soon after the mobilisation was announced, a military recruiter was shot at an enlistment office in Siberia. Last week, Putin announced that over 200,000 people had already been mobilised, and he saw no need for additional mobilisation. Meanwhile, United Nations envoy Pramila Patten recently stated that rapes and sexual assaults attributed to Moscow's forces in Ukraine are part of a Russian"military strategy and a deliberate tactic to dehumanise the victims.
