A 19-year-old student, Anas Zubairu has been reportedly killed by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Project Quarters area of Lafia Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
According to Zubairu who studies at a Moroccan university was on holiday visiting his family when he was kidnapped last Friday at about 6 pm. A family member who spoke on the incident said the boy was taken to an undisclosed location by the kidnappers who contacted his family five days later. However, two days after the money was paid, the kidnappers ceased communication with the family and only informed them early Sunday morning that the boy had been killed.
