Yahya Abubakar, village head of Zira in Toro LGA of Bauchi state, and his son have been abducted by gunmen.
He said the gunmen attacked the village which shares boundary with Plateau state around 2am on Saturday.
Wakil said the police search team is already conducting a rescue operation for the victims and is on the trail of the gunmen.“The command has since dispatched a team of detectives and other police officers to rescue the victims and presently our men are combing the bush in search of the abducted victims,” he said.The spokesman appealed to the public to remain calm, go about their business and cooperate with the police.
