Health educators and town criers across the16 local councils of the state, have been directed to carry messages on family planning and childbirth spacing along, while sensitising the people on the precautionary methods to adapt to prevent the spread of the virus.
TCI’s Demand Generation Officer, Victoria Mohammed, yesterday, made this known via a telephone interview. She said: “Local council health educators and town announcers are at present leaving no stone unturned, as they fit in family planning messages into the COVID-19 sensitisation campaign. The State Health Educator, Mrs. Mercy Maigoge, said the agency did not want to take any chances, hence, its decision to integrate family planning and child birth spacing in the awareness campaigns.
