The Niger Delta People's Assembly, NDPA has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ignore the media hype and protest against the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL in the interest of the nation.

Recall that some Niger Delta Youths had over the week staged protests demanding the sack of the NNPCL leadership but the National Coordinator of NDPA, Richard Toritseju Okotie, in a statement, alleged that some frustrated individuals, engaged in unlawful and unmerited favours were behind the protests. https://dailypost.ng/2023/10/11/niger-delta-youths-protest-in-warri-demand-sack-of-nnpcl-leadership/.

The NDPA said the NNPCL is the most probed and audited agency by other government institutions such as the National Assembly, due to the oversight function exercised over it.
