The group has asked the government- “To authorise the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami, to amend the Act.”
Transparency Advocacy for Development Initiative has urged the Federal Government to amend the provisions of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Act 2003.
“The government should carry out a forensic audit of the EFCC to uncover the rot in the organisation.”A forensic audit of the EFCC from inception till date will help ascertain the extent of the rot in the agency and allow the government to “act accordingly.”
