dquarters on Friday.
The group, it was reported, was to give the victim 57 strokes of the cane, but ended up flogging him 36 times after allegedly forcing him to accept he committed a crime against the community by his action. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Loveth Odah, said the suspect showed up because he was afraid that police were looking for him. Odah noted that Nyerere did so in his own interest, adding that was in police custody.has arrested and paraded seven suspected members of an armed robbery gang in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
