A Coalition of civil society and youth groups yesterday commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the steps so far taken to checkmate the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

“The opposition is saying the President should speak or address the nation on the issue. Which is more important, mobilising money and resources to tackle the challenge or paying lip service on the issue?It faulted those who opposed the decision by the House of Representatives to embark on a two weeks recess over the disease, arguing that the measure did not only fall within the powers of the House to regulate their conduct, but did not breach provisions of the 1999 Constitution as amended.
