The City of Greater Sudbury closed Bike Month in June by joining the Smart Commute rideshare program
The City of Greater Sudbury has joined the Smart Commute rideshare program, which helps people find carpool matches and plan trips using public transit, walking and cycling.
“As part of Council’s commitment to a Net-Zero Greater Sudbury, we are excited to be the first municipality in the north to offer the program as a way to advance our combined efforts against climate change as a community.” “Love cycling, but prefer the safety of another rider? Smart Commute can match you up with another cyclist in your area.”
“Commuting more sustainably helps reduce traffic and improves the environment by reducing emissions, and improving air quality,” according to the Smart Commute website.
