The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said his government was partnering with mobile telecommunications service providers to improve broadband connectivity in the state.
The governor said the state government had been on top of its game in the area of connectivity, adding that “we are willing to do more.”
He stated that the state was working towards using a “unified duct system, where we don’t need to dig up every time anybody needs to do their own connectivity and just have a robust masterplan layout where everybody can operate, but we know that everybody has their own growth plan and where they want to deploy to, and we’re also willing to accommodate that and see that from our own statewide connectivity mesh, you might have additional requests in some other areas.
Sanwo-Olu assured the delegation that his government understood how important connectivity was to the broadband business, adding that migration to the 5G network would enhance the Internet experience in the state, hence the state government’s readiness to support connectivity. All rights reserved.
