As results continue to trickle in across polling units in the Governorship and House of Assembly elections, the Nigerians await the winners and losers in
The state has 44 local government areas and 5.9 million registered voters, second after Lagos state with 7,060,195 registered voters.
Major governorship contenders are the incumbent deputy Governor of the All Progressives Party, APC Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Saqid Walil.The All Progressives Party, APC in Kano state, Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, has emerged winner in the polling unit where he earlier cast his vote.
In the final result of the Polling Unit, Gawuna polled 98 votes to beat the candidates of the NNPP and PDP, who polled two and one vote, respectively. PU 041, where the APC guber candidate and serving deputy governor, has been posted on INEC’s IREV portal.
