Governor Yari’s flouting of COVID-19 guidelines at Kano airport irresponsible – FAAN
the Public Health procedures on COVID-19 on travels at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport last Saturday.According to the statement, the former Governor who refused to adhere to the protocols and procedures put in place by the Federal Government forcefully pushed an officer for insisting that his luggage must be disinfected.
The agency strongly condemned the actions of the former governor, urging all airport users, to respect the Public Health travel protocols put in place to protect all air travelers against the viral infection.The tweet reads “The Management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria hereby strongly condemns the conduct of the former Governor of Zamfara State, Alh.
“ He refused to adhere to the protocols and procedures put in place by the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on COVID19 by forcefully pushing away an officer of the Environment when he insisted that his luggage must be disinfected.“This irresponsible act endangers all other airport users, it is unacceptable and as such it has been duly escalated.
