The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has explained in detail why the Peoples Democratic Party failed to win the presidential seat in 2023.
The governor, however, said his efforts were futile because party leaders were bent on doing things their way. He also noted that he had appealed to leaders of the party to get the now Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike on the PDP’s ticket but they refused.“Get Governor Wike, let us appeal to him, let him be on that ticket, it would have been a stronger ticket to face the APC.
He further called on the party members and leaders to leave all that had happened in the past to ensure that they work together to attain victory in the 2027 election.
