Governor Emmanuel Appoints 149 New Village Heads - Latest News
The commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mr.Frank Archibong, who stood in for the governor, handed out the certificates of recognition to the respective paramount rulers at the Akwa Ibom State Traditional Rulers Council Chambers in Uyo for onward transmission to the 149 beneficiaries in their domains.
Issuing the certificates, the commissioner, while congratulating the village heads on their recognition, commended them for their patience, saying the exercise was in fulfillment of the promise made by Governor Emmanuel. He thanked the royal fathers for keeping faith with the outgoing administration, saying the current administration placed high premium on the welfare of royal fathers in the state for sustainable peace and development.
