Governor Bello presents staffs of office to 128 Kogi traditional rulers
The Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has presented staffs of office to 128 traditional rulers in the state, a few weeks to his bid to get re-elected for a second term.
About 314 traditional rulers have had their seats upgraded with 128 of them being presented with the staffs of office by the governor at the event. The governor charged them to live up to their responsibilities of fostering peace, unity in their territories as their appointment was a call to more service.
He said the recognition was long overdue as the community had long expected the occasion following his appointment over a decade ago by former governor, late Abubakar Audu.
