Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba has ordered security agents to urgently pursue the killers of the monarch of Chanchanji, Alhaji Tanimu Kunbiya and his son. The monarch and his son were killed on Friday evening along the Chanchanji-Takum road in an ambush by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Saturday by the governor's Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communications, Emmanuel Bello, it was stated that the security forces, as directed by the governor, should immediately investigate the circumstances and pursue the perpetrators of the heinous crime.

Describing the tragic manner in which the late monarch and his son were killed on their way from a funeral event in Takum, Governor Kefas vowed to provide all necessary support to the operatives to track down the killers. 'Everyone involved must be brought to justice as soon as possible,' the governor stated. While calling for calm among Takum residents, he vowed to leave no stone unturned in bringing the criminals to justice as quickly as possible.
