Ahead of the Saturday supplementary elections in Kano State, Governor-elect Abba Kabir Yusuf has alleged that the incumbent governor, Abdullahi Ganduje,
The governor-elect made the allegations in a public advisory signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
He alleged that at least N181 million has so far been released to three local government areas to fund the election. He said: “We wish to issue another public advisory on the purported use of public funds to finance the supplementary elections on Saturday. “We have credible information that the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has directed the release of over N60 million to Nasarawa, N61 million to Doguwa and over N60 million to Wudil.
“Other local government councils are also listed to receive hundreds of millions of Naira to fund elections,” he alleged.
