Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has described as shocking the passage of Alhaji Ahmed Joda. Ahmed Joda died in Yola on Friday at the age of 91
Governor Fintiri, in a condolence message released to newsmen Friday evening by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, described the late “elder statesman, technocrat and super Permanent Secretary in his public service career” as an epitome of discipline and integrity.
“I received the news of the death of your late father, husband and grandfather with shock and sadness. This came at a time his wealth of experience and wisdom were most needed. I am, however, consoled that he lived an exemplary life and left a legacy of selfless service to the community,” the governor said in the message addressed to the bereaved family.
“On behalf of myself, my family, government and people of Adamawa State, I convey my sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Joda. As you mourn, I join you in giving thanks to Almighty Allah for the exemplary and accomplished life your late father lived,” Fintiri added.
