Bauchi state governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar has lost to Peoples Democratic Party candidate Bala Mohammed, in Bogoro local government, home town of the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara in yesterday’s election.Abubakar of All Progressives Congress polled 7,442 votes while his major opponent Bala Mohammed polled 19,667 votes.
The returning officer, Prof. Paul Yehuma while announcing the result said: “Out of 29,960 accredited voters, only 748 votes were cancelled.”Vanguard reports that at the time of filing this report, results are being announced for other local government areas.
