Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has ordered the suspension of one of his aides, Abidemi Rufai, arrested by the government of the United States
Rufai, a senior special assistant on Special Duties to Governor Abiodun was arrested last Friday by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation at the John F Kennedy International Airport, New York and charged for defrauding the Washington State Employment Security Department of over $350,000.
“This is the first, but will not be the last, significant arrest in our ongoing investigation of ESD fraud,” said Tessa Gorman, acting US Attorney for the Western District of Washington, in a statement Monday.
