The Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned members aspiring for the 2027 governorship election to stop distracting Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration or face sanctions. The party's State Executive Committee expressed its commitment to enforcing compliance with party rules and constitution.

“Accordingly, all political structures and contact committees established by these prospective aspirants are hereby disbanded by the party, and all loyal party members are urged to refrain from participating in such unlawful campaign activities until all restrictions on political campaigns are lifted,” Kyari stated.
It encouraged all candidates, party members and the general public to remain law abiding and committed to ensuring seamless, peaceful and rancour free elections. “The successful delivery of essential services and benefits, as well as his ability to adapt and overcome challenging circumstances have been instrumental to the continuous development and progress of the state,” he said.
