The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi has vowed that he will never abandon his successor, the incumbent governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru.

Umahi said he will do everything within his power to ensure that the current governor of the state completes eight years in office . Speaking while some members of the Izzi National Youths Forum, paid him Christmas visit in his hometown, Uburu in Ohaoazara Local Government Area of Ebonyi state, Umahi said nothing would stop the governor from wining the next governorship election.

He said, “God forbid that Izzi people stand against me tomorrow but my covenant with God and Nwifuru is to complete uninterrupted eight years in office.“Do you think I cannot do it presently that I have someone by my side?” he asked. He further described the governor as a humble individual who he has made up his mind never to leave stranded until the end of his service as the leader of the people of the state.
