During the summit, the United States Treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, noted the importance of regional development banks in addressing development finance challenges and reducing vulnerabilities in developing countries. Yellen further called for the continued partnership between the World Bank and those regional development banks, while also stating the need for reforms at the global bank.
