On behalf of African health workers, influential leaders, including country presidents in the continent, must boldly condemn acts of global inequality. The African Union must lead this approach. Over time, the AU has not been vocal enough regarding issues that Africans face when they travel for health conferences outside the continent. The AU could task the Africa CDC to set up a permanent committee within the agency to address this situation.
