Six senior police officers of the Kwara State Command recently promoted have been charged to continue to give their best as a way of reciprocating the confidence which the Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Alkali Baba, reposed in them.

“While appreciating the Inspector General of Police and the chairman of the Police Service Commission for the promotions, the CP reiterated the need for the promoted officers to give their best in reciprocating the IGP’s confidence in them. He also told them that the reward for hard work is more work.”

Odama, who said that the promotion was an added responsibility for the officers advised others who were desirous of benefiting from promotion to continue to do their best to serve God through humanity at all times and noted that promotion came from God. The CP was assisted by Dcp Steve Yabanet of the State CID, Dcp Adekimi Ojo of the Operations Department, and Dcp Nurudeen Abdulraheem in charge of Police Administration in the decorations of the newly promoted officers in the presence of their wives and relatives at the Kwara State police conference hall, Police Headquarters Ilorin.

“The CP jokingly stated at the conclusion of the event that the promoted officers have received their Easter and Ramadan gifts from the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, and as such must reciprocate the admirable gesture with more work and set a good example for the junior officers”, Odama said. All rights reserved.
