In a statement issued by the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ghanaian government admitted that the demolition of the structure was a breach of diplomatic relations.
“We strongly condemn two outrageous criminal attacks in Accra, Ghana, on a residential building in our diplomatic premises by unknown persons in which a bulldozer was used to demolish the building. Also, the chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa described the incident as an insult to Nigerians, expressing optimism that the ministry would find a lasting solution having intervened.
