German football giant, Bayern Munich, has suspended Sadio Mane for one match and fined him following an altercation with Leroy Sane after their Champions League quarter-final first-leg defeat by Manchester City. The German professional sports club based in Munich, Bavaria and best known for its professional men's football team, which plays in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system suspended the Senegalese football star after he punched Sané in his face after having an argument during the match.

The club announced in a statement on Thursday that Mané will not be in the squad against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Saturday. According to Daily Mail report, the former Premier League pair were first embroiled in an argument on the pitch which then carried into the dressing room. The former Liverpool forward has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances during his first season at Bayern.Sane played the full match against his former side City while Mane replaced Jamal Musiala after 69 minutes.
