published by BBC Hausa on Tuesday, Ganduje who travelled to Abuja for the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as president, said he didn’t attend the ceremony back home because he and his successor were members of different political parties.“The inauguration ceremony is made up of two things. First is the handing over of documents of how the state was governed including completed projects and those that are yet to be completed. Second is the swearing in like you saw,” Ganduje said.

“Therefore if the political parties of the outgoing and incoming governors are different, it’s not necessary for the outgoing governor to attend the inauguration ceremony because sometimes if this is done, chaos erupts as a result of clash between supporters,” he added.
