THE wife of Kano state governor, Hajia Hafsat Ganduje, has endorsed the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Murtala Garo, to succeed her husband as governor come 2023.
In video clip which trended on social media, on Sunday, Hafsat popularly called Gwoggo , was said to have stated this at a function in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State, on Saturday. She was heard saying, Garo is the ideal person to succeed her husband. According to her, the state needed a versatile politician like the commissioner to take over from her husband, Abdullahi Ganduje, in 2023.
In the trending video clips, APC supporters were seen jubilating while Kano State First Lady made the statement. According to her, while on a trip, she observed that the commissioner had sleepless nights working for his ministry.
