The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday, arrived at the National Assembly complex in Abuja in the company of some party leaders. Ganduje was at the National Assembly complex in expectation that President Bola Tinubu would address a joint sitting of the Senate and House of Representatives.
This is coming amid the confusion from the Presidency over conflicting statements of President Tinubu addressing a joint session of the National Assembly. On Monday, the National Assembly announced that it will hold a special joint session on Wednesday to mark the 25th anniversary of democracy in Nigeria.
This was also confirmed on Tuesday by the special adviser to the President on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga. He added that President Tinubu’s speech at the joint sitting of the National Assembly will dwell on the achievements of his administration and Nigeria’s democracy since the military handed over power in 1999.
