The Gage Awards would boost the pace of innovation and growth in the digital ecosystem in Nigeria by recognising outstanding players in the country’s digital industry.The ceremony would identify, highlight and reward activities online that helps to shape the pace of human development in Africa, especially Nigeria, in innovation, information, inspiration, entertainment and business.

According to the Head, Organising Committee, Adetukasi Adedayo, the initiative recognises the achievements and successes of counterparts from various industries in the digital space. “The awards will be in 24 categories, and the public will determine six of these categories. Industry professionals will select winners after series of rigorous auditing processes.

“We have set up such an award at this time to ensure the enormous resources that are available in the World Wide Web is geared to the development of human good, especially in Africa. We want the online space to have a proper standard that would drive growth and inspire new talents,” he said.
