The Nigeria Football Federation on Monday, April 29, announced the appointment of former Super Eagles winger, Finidi George as the new head coach of the nation’s senior men’s national team.Board approving the recommendation of its Technical and Development Committee to hand over the reins to the 52-year-old former Ajax Amsterdam and Real Betis forward.Finidi George is the fourth Super Eagles head coach who hails from Bayelsa State.Paul Ebiye Hamilton was a Nigerian footballer and manager.

He was then hired as head coach of the Nigeria national football team in 1989 but was fired after Nigeria failed to qualify for the 1990 FIFA World Cup.Monday Sinclair was a legendary football tactician who is credited to have discovered players like Richard Owubokiri, Benjy Nziakor, Peter Rufai, Finidi George, Taribo West, Emmanuel “waist breaker” Ebiede Inikio, Davidson Owumi, Idah Peterside, Binebi Numa, Imama Amapakabo and many others.
