Full implementation of community policing will address security challenges in Nigeria- IGP
Adamu made this declaration while inaugurating the Oyo State community policing advisory committee held at the Government House, Agodi Ibadan.
Adamu maintained that it is envisioned that the full implementation of community policing will help address or mitigate the security challenges currently confronting Nigeria. “It is envisioned that the full implementation of the Community Policing will help address or mitigate the security challenges currently confronting us as a nation.
“Also at the State level is the Community Policing Committee which shall meet at least once in a month; although the committee could hold emergency meetings if and when necessary. All the Local Government Chairmen and Divisional Police Officers who are nucleus members shall be in attendance.
