A petrol-laden tanker crushed two persons to death and injured four others in the Likapala area of Ondo town, Ondo State, on Monday.

The tanker, whose driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle, also destroyed some motorcycles in the area.The eyewitness said, “The driver of the tanker lost control of the vehicle and faced the opposite direction and collided with all the motorcycles on the other lane of the road. It was a serious accident.”

As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the deceased had not been ascertained, while their remains were said to have been deposited in the University of Medical Sciences’ Teaching Hospital mortuary in Ondo, while those who sustained injuries were receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.
