In response to rising fuel prices following the removal of the petroleum subsidy by the Federal Government, the Nasarawa State government has announced plans to establish Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bi-fuel conversion centres across the state.

The initiative, aimed at providing affordable and sustainable energy alternatives, will see centres set up in each of Nasarawa ’s three senatorial zones.

reports that the technicians, drawn from the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association, underwent five days of intensive training to equip them with the skills to convert vehicles to LNG/CNG systems. 'We plan to establish conversion centres where these trained technicians will work, train others, and contribute to environmental conservation,' Governor Sule stated in Lafia.
