The Nation Newspaper Fubara is Rivers political leader, says Odili
The governor and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, are locked in a battle of supremacy.Odili, who was Rivers State governor between 1999 and 2007, praised Fubara for protecting the interest of the state.
He said: “The time for politics is over; it is now time for governance. You have done well by hitting the ground running. You have touched all sectors: education, agriculture, and now health. This is in line with Mr. President’s agenda. Also, Fubara has said his administration was working in line with the vision of President Bola Tinubu to address the issues of housing affecting low income earners in the state.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary , Nelson Chukwudi, the governor said: “Let me use this medium to say a big thank you to Mr. President. We all know the basic needs of a family: food, clothing, and shelter. In our country today because of the cost of living, housing has become an issue. Also, a former Chief of Staff at the Rivers State Government House, Chukwuemeka Woke, has berated critics of his former boss and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.Woke spoke at a stakeholders’ meeting of Emohua Local Government Area at the council’s secretariat on Wednesday night.
