One of the most pressing concerns has been the scarcity of qualified educators. It is worth noting that this issue is not unique to Bauchi State but is a nationwide problem in Nigeria. However, the Bauchi State Government, under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed, is taking commendable steps to bridge these gaps and address the challenges.

Therefore, the need for a census of active teachers and school facilities became clear. This census helped in the recent teacher recruitment process and enabled more informed decision-making and planning for the education sector. Governor Mohammed’s administration believes that these technology-driven solutions will not only improve quality assurance but also prove cost-effective for education management, ensuring a zero-tolerance policy toward the lack of quality education in the state.Mohammed to embark on an extensive program for school renovations and new constructions.

Recognizing the pivotal role of teachers in the education system, the government has approved funding for modern teaching aids, welfare packages for teachers, and a substantial allocation for Teacher Professional Development Training. This training encompasses digital skills, contemporary teaching techniques, pedagogy training, and other soft skills to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the state.
