international, Terem Moffi, may have played his last game for Lorient after a French publication, Mercato Plein, claimed that the forward has officially left the French club and joined West Ham United for a reported fee of £21m.
The Nigerian striker has been in fine form for the French outfits this season and has scored 12 goals in 18 Ligue 1 games making him the division’s joint second top scorer with Lille’s Jonathan David, and just one goal behind Paris Saint-Germain star and 2022 World Cup golden boot winner Kylian Mbappe.
A physical, fast and powerful forward, Moffi scored 35 goals in 90 games since his arrival in Brittany two years ago for an €8m fee. Moffi was left out of the Lorient squad for their Coupe de France clash with Bastia on Saturday with the manager, Régis Le Bris, stating that the forward was left out of the game because he was recovering from illness.
The 23-year-old forward has been on the Hammers’ radar for a while but there have been disagreements on the fee between the Ligue 1 and Premier League club.
