Four cults members have been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command during a supremacy battle between the Aye and Eiye confraternities.
The suspects were arrested in Atan-Ota, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State on Saturday.The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Sunday, said the suspects were arrested on Saturday following a distress call received by the Division Police Officer, Atan-Ota division, CSP Abolade Oladigbolu, around 4am.
He said, “Upon the distress call, the DPO mobilised his men and moved to the scene, where there were repeated gunshots. “The policemen engaged the hoodlums and subsequently subdued them. Four among the cultists were apprehended.
