Four teenagers in Adamawa State, Nigeria, were arrested for the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl. The suspects allegedly intoxicated the victim before committing the crime.

Four secondary school boys in Adamawa State , Nigeria , have been arrested for allegedly raping a 17-year-old girl. The four suspects, all aged between 16 and 17, were apprehended by the state police command on charges of criminal conspiracy and rape of a minor. According to police spokesperson SP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspects allegedly conspired and raped the victim after intoxicating her with a large quantity of beer.

During the investigation, the suspects confessed to the crime, admitting to having unlawful carnal knowledge of the victim one after another. The suspects have been identified as Sukari Mathew (16), Collins Cambull (16), Barnabas Simon (17), and Ferdinand Mathew (17). All four are students at Government Secondary School Sugu in the Ganye Local Government Area of southern Adamawa. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has ordered that the suspects be taken into protective custody pending the outcome of the investigation and legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP)
