Lagos State Police Command has arraigned four security guards before the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court, sitting at Tinubu, for allegedly burgling their employer’s residence and carting away valuables worth N100 million.
The defendants, Natufo Olufemi, Tomiwa Teojon, Uche Peter, and Adam Mohammed, alleged to be the receiver of the stolen items were accused of breaking into the home of Princess Chichi Ojei in GRA, Ikeja, while she was away. According to the charge sheet, the incident occurred between January and July 2025 at 11A/11B Sasegbon Street, GRA, Ikeja, where the guards allegedly conspired to ransack the property. The stolen items were reportedly sold to Mohammed, after which the guards disappeared.
She immediately petitioned the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, AIG Adegoke Fayoade, who ordered a discreet investigation. Acting on intelligence, detectives traced the suspects to a hideout in Lagos and arrested them. The defendants were subsequently charged with conspiracy, burglary, and stealing, offences contrary to and punishable under Sections 411, 307, 287, and 410 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
